At the Buttonwoods  Museum on June 25, 2017, Dave Drinon demonstrated painting an impressionist seascape in oils.

Originally from Maine and from an artistic family, the Andover artist calls his style ‘expressive realism’. He considers himself a ‘SCAPE” painter – sea, land, city being his subjects. He loves being out in nature and painting on location even in winter – Lowell, Ogunquit, Cape Ann –  and uses his own sketches and photos to finish work in his studio.

He has been the artist-in-residence at the Whistler House in Lowell, and presently maintains a studio at Western Avenue in Lowell.

Demos are free to GHAA members, a donation of $5 is requested of non-members.
