More about Anthony:

Anthony Padula is a Marblehead, Massachusetts artist who paints and draws in Abstract Realism. His subject matter is still life, seascapes, portraits and figures. Born in 1972 in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Anthony’s journey as a professional artist isn’t typical. In his younger years, he loved to paint, using any kind of canvas he could afford or find. But he pursued a different education entirely, first earning a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and then an MBA from Bentley College. He now says that the most important thing he learned during those years was to follow his heart. And in doing so, he returned to art.

Anthony began studying under living master David Leffel in 2008, and never looked back. With the influence and encouragement of his teacher, Anthony began working quietly on his first solo show in 2011, transitioning from obscurity to recognition almost instantly. He has been selected by jury multiple times for exhibition at The Guild of Boston Artists, and has won several awards for his classic-yet-distinct composition and technique.

In 2014, Anthony opened his own studio on historic Washington Street in old-town Marblehead. And today, through his gallery, commissions, exhibits and solo shows, his work hangs in private collections around the world.

Anthony still considers himself a student with a healthy obsession that never rests. His pieces are both new and timeless, painterly and simple, identifiable without his signature. This idea is in line with his uncomplicated artist statement that’s become his life’s calling – To Make a Beautiful Painting.
