More about Susan:

Susan Kneeland’s artwork is as much an enigma as the artist herself. It is immediately recognizable for its vibrant, heightened, colors, and yet, her monochromatic artwork is equally notable.

Proficient in all media and subject matter, her most desired and collected pieces come from her extensive, ongoing “road series” as well as her impressionistic “beach series”.

Susan educates young and old in private studio classes, as well as en plein air, year round. In addition, over twenty years ago she instituted, an art therapy program for the elderly whom reside in area nursing homes. She also serves as a juror for art exhibitions and installs art exhibits.

Designing a sculpture for a competition in 2014 brought Susan’s career to new heights. Her design was selected by the city of Haverhill as one of five winning works, and proudly stands at the gateway to the beautiful rail trail, a walk along the Merrimack River. on the corner of Middlesex and Main Streets, in Bradford, MA. In 2017 Susan was awarded for her contribution to the arts by the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
