Virtual Artist Demonstration: Lisa Regopoulos

Abstract Painting with Lisa Regopoulos

The GHAA would like to thank Pentucket Bank  for sponsoring our virtual artist demonstration series.

In this demonstration, Lisa paints a wintry landscape in pastels.

About Lisa:

When Realism meets Impressionism in pastel, that’s where the excitement begins for Massachusetts artist Lisa Regopoulos. That’s how she likes to paint.

First impressions of a scene are moments she wants to capture. That is why plein air painting excites her most. Working in pastel and teaching workshops in this versatile medium are two of her greatest passions. She has worked in the medium for twenty years, full-time for the past six years.

Her commitment to teaching began nearly a decade ago, conducting small private classes in her home which evolved to weekly classes at her studio and the Wild Salamander Creative Arts Center. This year, she has shifted her focus from weekly classes to workshops in the N.E. region, and is actively pursuing other workshop venues across the USA.

The highlight of 2019 was teaching a successful ten day plein air workshop at the La Romita School of Art in Umbria, Italy. Lisa has recently earned Master Circle status with the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS/MC) and is a Signature Member of both Pastel Society of NH and Pastel Society of Maine. She has studied art at the Worcester Art Museum, Sharon Arts Center, and has learned from some of the top names in country at the IAPS Convention and the Plein Air Convention, which she has attended four times.

To receive her e-newsletter, please visit www.lisaregopoulos.com and add your email address. The newsletter is usually once per month and is not bothersome.
