Exposed-Getting Seen and Getting Sold is a two-hour Zoom workshop for artists who want to expand their audience and increase exposure and sales. You will learn the tools of self-promotion, what resources are available, and discover new art markets. Artists will explore their strengths and goals, and create a plan of action to enhance the foundation of their business.

Rita Fucillo is the publisher of Art New England magazine, a certified life coach, and a Brandeis University graduate with a BA in English Literature. She is the VP of New Venture Media Group. Rita has enjoyed a long publishing career, carries an extensive writing portfolio and has worked in theatrical management, arts marketing, and public relations. She has made multiple speaking and panelist appearances including Sotheby’s Institute of Art, The Transcultural Exchange Conference, the Boston International Fine Arts Show, and American Women Artists, with her primary goal being to promote and support art makers.

Suzanne Schultz is the founder of Canvas Fine Arts, a full-service coaching and consulting agency for artists and creatives. CFA was founded in 2007 and Suzanne has represented over 100 artists locally and internationally to date. With her background in interior design and art history she wanted to help artists get exposure through the usual and not-so-usual venues. In addition to her own galleries in Boston and New York, Suzanne has partnered with art galleries, museums, hospitality, retail, nonprofits and design entities allowing many opportunities for her artists which have led to exposure, sales, as well as media and corporate placements. Suzanne also provided art for the Boston City Hall galleries working with their curator and curated the offices of three Boston City Council Presidents. Suzanne has been a speaker for many prestigious groups, including The Copley Society, The Providence Art Center, and Masterworks Museum in Bermuda. She has co-hosted BNN TV’s “It’s All About Arts” and acted as Boston’s editor of Studio 511 Magazine, published in Manhattan, which allowed Suzanne to grow her audience and serve more artists. Suzanne is also a former faculty member at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in Manhattan, where she taught Art Business for Artists. Her book “EXPOSED Secrets of an Art Rep: 10 Tips to Get Your Art Seen and Sold” will be released this year.

Rita Fucillo and Suzanne Schultz also collaborate on teaching workshops and portfolio reviews.

The information presented through the Salons run by Rita and Suzanne is invaluable for anyone trying to negotiate the complex business of Art. Employing their insights and exercises anyone, regardless of experience, will gain knowledge that can be used to further their art career. Art can sometimes be a solitary activity. Through their Salons, Rita and Suzanne bring artists into a comfortable space for lively discussions regarding shared issues and different viewpoints. That alone is worth giving them the highest recommendation.
