iHub Artist for May and June 2022

Featured Artist: Debra Accardi

Debra Accardi is the featured member artist for May and June in the Art Niche at the Innovation Hub (UMass Lowell at Harbor Place, 2 Merrimack Street, Haverhill). The Art Niche is open to the public during regular iHub hours. Debra paints a large variety of subjects, using oils and pastels.

Debra L. Accardi is a New England artist who was born and raised in the Merrimack Valley and is inspired by all things New England. She loves the landscape and old buildings of Cape Cod, New Hampshire, and Haverhill Massachusetts where she lives. She is also an avid lover of horses and works to capture their power and beauty.

Currently working in mostly oil and pastels, she was a Fine Arts major with a concentration in painting at the Art Institute of Boston and has studied locally with artists including Susan Kneeland, Todd Bonita, and most recently David Lussier. Debra considers herself a life-long learner and continues to develop her work through workshops and Plein Air.

Debra is a member of the Greater Haverhill Arts Association (GHAA), the Newburyport Art Association (NAA), and the Pastel Society of New Hampshire (PSNH). Debra’s work has been shown in exhibits through the Greater Haverhill Arts Association and the Newburyport Art Association. You can find her work on her Instagram @debraaccardiartist.
