Annual Meeting and Election Results

At the Annual Member Meeting on October 23, the following Board Members were re-elected: Vice President Michael Rossi, Treasurer Joan Turner, Secretary Melissa Morrison. Re-appointed to board positions were Publicity Chair Laurie Crevatis, Program Chair Maureen DeSisto, Exhibits Chair James McCarthy, Communications Chair Debbie Shirley, and Hospitality Chair Susan Wilcox. While Estelle Halchak received enough votes for the Presidency, she has withdrawn herself for current consideration due to personal reasons. Michael Rossi will assume the office of Interim President, and the search will resume for the position.

During the meeting, Outgoing President Ann Jones summarized many highlights of the Association including the following:

• Membership has been growing steadily over the past ten years

• The treasury is healthy, including the funds earmarked for the Gablosky Memorial Scholarship

• The monthly newsletter, the website, and the Facebook page are your sources of info - make it a habit to use them

• Our calendar of events is a full one, updated continually for easy reference on the website

• A new exhibit venue this year is the Art Hall at Penacook Place, thanks to Michael Rossi; it’s an ongoing exhibit with art changeout seasonally; any member's wall art can be shown - even previously shown and NFS art; no commission taken

• Member interviews have proven very popular podcasts - Joan’s special project -and we love to get to know our artists

• We thank and applaud Mark Hayden, a Copley Master and venerable teacher of all mediums and subjects, who is the instructor of the Saturday Workshop for the past 30 years!

The meeting included a small presentation and thank you to Ann Jones for her decade + of service and leadership.
