Who We Are

About the GHAA

Since 1971, the Greater Haverhill Arts Association has provided artists and enthusiasts with a strong sense of community as well as opportunities to share their art with each other and the public. Our members are of all ages, backgrounds, and levels – we are an inclusive nonprofit organization.

Here are just some of our many offerings:

  • Monthly Newsletter

    • member news, upcoming events, artistic opportunities

  • Annual Special Resources Newsletter

    • teaching, learning and exhibiting opportunities

  • Our Annual Art Festival on Bradford Common

  • Annual Open Exhibition and Annual Student Exhibition (judged for cash awards)

  • Members Exhibitions (3-4 each year in changing locations)

  • Quarterly Member Exhibitions in the Art Hall at Penacook Place

  • Bi-Monthly Solo Exhibitions in the Art Niche at the Innovation Hub (UMass Lowell at Harbor Place)

  • Holiday Art Show & Sale

  • ArtisTree and Member Artist Informal Mini-Demonstrations at the Buttonwoods’ Annual Festival of Trees

  • January Paint-Ins at a local greenhouse

  • Drop-in Saturday Art Workshops 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month with on-site mentor

  • Live Artist Demonstrations throughout the year

  • The Robert Gablosky Memorial Scholarship, administered by the GHAA
